State and local authorities search for minimum-security inmate Featured

McAlester - An inmate discovered missing from a minimum-security prison last night is back behind bars. Authorities took Michael Craig, Jr. into custody at approximately 7am in Arpelar, a small town several miles west of McAlester. Numerous law enforcement agencies assisted the Oklahoma Department of Corrections' agents and officers overnight and made numerous sightings of the inmate throughout the night.


McAlester - An inmate housed at Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester has escaped from that minimum-security facility.

ODOC staff discovered 20-year-old Michael Craig, Jr. missing during the 9pm inmate count. Craig is serving time for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and robbery or attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. Both charges are out of Oklahoma County.
