According to a press release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, on May 18, 2018, Charles French, 75, was reported missing to the Norman Police Department by his son, James French.


Charles had not been seen or heard from since May 02, 2018.


James reported on May 02, 2018, he had taken his father to the hospital in Norman, Oklahoma for medical treatment following a car accident on April 30, 2018.


Charles had refused medical treatment for head injuries he sustained in the accident. On May 02, 2018, he borrowed a 1991 white GMC pickup (OK tag BZC-878) from an individual in Norman, Oklahoma.


Norman Police issued a Silver Alert on the day Charles was reported missing.


The truck recovered from the Thunderbird Lake Hog Creek Ramp was the 1991 white GMC pickup (OK tag BZC-878). The body found in the truck will have to be identified through the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
