According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an Arkansas man died in a ATV accident that occurred on Aug 2, 2019 at approximately 11:01 pm on a county road, approximately 3.5 miles north of Muldrow, in Sequoyah County.
According to the report, an ATV 2016 Polaris Razor driven by Ryan Galvan, 30 was westbound on County Road, E1070, when he over corrected to the left rolling 2.25 times.
He was ejected and the ATV came to rest on the passenger side in the eastbound lane.
Galvan was transported by Pafford EMS to Baptist Health in Ft. Smith, Arkansas with head injuries, passing away at the hospital due to injuries.
A 17-year-old passenger of Muldrow was transported by Pafford EMS to Baptist Health in Ft. Smith, Arkansas with head injuries.
According to the report the condition of the driver was odor of alcohol and the cause of the collision was unsafe speed for type of roadway, seat belt was in use by the passenger and was not in use by the driver.
The accident was Investigated by OHP, Sequoyah County Sheriff’s office, Pafford EMS and the Maple Fire Department.
