Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation – Arrest made in double homicide of Ronnie Key and Kathrine Fritz from Hughes County.
OSBI agents arrested 30 year old Rodney L. Key for the murders of Ronnie Key and Kathrine Fritz. On Saturday, May 28, 2018, OSBI was asked to assist the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office in rural Hughes County just south of Holdenville due to the deceased bodies of Ronnie Key and Kathrine Fritz being found.
Agents and Deputies worked since then and determined Ronnie’s son, Rodney L. Key was responsible for their murders.
Rodney L. Key was already in custody at the Pottawatomie County jail for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
After a pursuit from the Shawnee Police and Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Deputies he was taken into custody.
A no bond hold was put on Rodney L. Key for transfer to the Hughes County Jail.
