Car vs Motorcycle in Haskell County Featured

At approximately 11:40 am on November 24, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was dispatched to a car vs motorcycle accident that involved a Poteau man and two people from Wilburton.


The accident occurred on State Highway 71 on Beaver Mountain Road, approximately 2 miles south of Enterprise, Oklahoma in Haskell County.

 

According to report, a 2010 Ford Focus, driven by Harold Thompson 82, of Poteau, failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Carl Angelo 30, of Wilburton.

 

Angelo was transported by Tulsa Life flight to St. John Hospital in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with head, arm and leg injuries.


Janet Williams, 58, of Wilburton, a passenger on the motorcycle, was transported by Tulsa Life flight to St. John Hospital in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with head, internal, arm and leg injuries.


Thompson was not injured.
