Governor Kevin Stitt has officially proclaimed November as Family Month in Oklahoma, encouraging families across the state to spend meaningful time together. In support of this initiative, the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department is partnering with the Governor’s Office to offer waived parking fees at all Oklahoma State Parks on November 22 and 23, 2025.

“Tourism is powered by families, and there’s not a better place to spend time with your loved ones than at an Oklahoma State Park,” said Sterling Zearley, Executive Director of OTRD. “We’re proud to join the Governor’s Office in celebrating Family Month, and we encourage every Oklahoman to get outside, explore a park, and share quality time with those who matter most.”

From hayrides along scenic trails to guided hikes beneath Oklahoma’s stunning fall foliage, families will find opportunities to relax, reconnect, and create lasting memories.

“I am grateful for Director Sterling Zearley’s leadership and commitment to supporting Oklahoma families,” Governor Kevin Stitt said. “Families are the foundation of our lives, and our state parks offer the perfect backdrop to strengthen those bonds through shared experiences in nature.”
