Washington, DC–Today, Congressman Brecheen addressed the House of Representatives to honor the life of Le Flore County Deputy Walker LeMay.

“Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life of Le Flore County Deputy Thomas “Walker” LeMay, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Sunday, April 19th, 2026.

As we all know, “greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” Walker’s sacrifice, made while upholding his duty to protect the citizens of Le Flore County, will long be remembered. My words can’t fully convey our gratitude for the safety that these brave police officers provide to us all.

Believing in the Psalm 34 promise that “the LORD is near to the brokenhearted,” may Deputy LeMay’s family, friends, and colleagues find the peace that surpasses understanding even in the midst of their grief,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen

Please join us in praying for Deputy LeMay’s family and colleagues as they mourn Walker’s passing.
