Durant man injured in accident in Colbert Featured

On May 14, 2017 at approximately 1:29 am the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to a one vehicle accident that occurred on a county road ½ of a mile north of Colbert in Bryan County.


According to the OHP report, a 2004 Chevy 2 door driven by Jacob Site, 19 of Durant, was southbound on a county road, when he ran off the roadway to the left. The vehicle struck an embankment, went airborne and landed back into a ditch.


Site was transported by EMS to Alliance Medical Center in Durant then later flown to Plano Medical center with head, arm, leg, trunk-internal, and trunk-external injuries. He was listed in stable condition.

A passenger with Site, Blake Garrett, 20 of Durant refused treatment at the scene.


The accident was investigated by Trooper OHP, Bryan County Sheriff’s office and Bryan County EMS.
