According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatal collision occurred on November 18, 2021 at approximately 11/18/2021 at approximately 10:20 pm on State Highway 3 approximately ½ mile east of Rattan in Pushmataha County.
According to the report, a 1998 Jeep, driven by John Lundry, 38, from Ringold, was eastbound on State Highway 3, ran off right side of roadway for unknown reason, struck an embankment, rolled approximately 2.5 times ejected driver 67 feet.
Lundry was pronounced dead at the scene with head injury. He was transported by Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo, Ok. Medical Examiner Chris Cole responded to the scene.
The accident was investigated by OHP, Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office, Rattan Police Department and Rattan Fire Department.
