According to a report filed by Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatality collision occurred Friday evening at approximately 7:17 on US377 about 1 mile south of Bowlegs in Seminole County. The report shows that an SUV was traveling north and a Bluebird school bus was traveling south.
The SUV passed another northbound vehicle and remained in the southbound lane. The driver of the bus swerved into the northbound lane to avoid hitting the SUV. The SUV then returned to the northbound lane hitting the bus head-on. The collision pinned both the driver and passenger of the SUV and both vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the bus was taken by ambulance to an Ada hospital where he was treated and released with leg, arm and head injuries. Five passengers in the bus were treated and released from a hospital in Seminole.
Both the driver and passenger of the SUV and a passenger in the bus were pronounced dead at the scene. Names of all involved have not been released at this time.
