MAJOR COUNTY, Okla. – The father of a two-month-old baby that died in February of 2020 has plead guilty to First Degree Murder. Dustin Lamm, 24, entered the plea this week in Major County District Court. He was sentenced to Life in Prison with all but the first 28 years suspended.
The case was initiated on February 22, 2020, when the Major County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) assist with the investigation. Emergency medical personnel and law enforcement were called to the 11800 block of State Highway 58 in Ringwood, Okla., the previous day. Responders were told the two-month-old baby aspirated while being fed by the child’s biological father. The baby was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Enid and then transferred to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. While being cared for at OU Children’s Hospital, doctors discovered the baby had multiple injuries to the head and torso. The baby died as a result of the physical abuse at the hands of Lamm on February 22, 2020.
Lamm was arrested and booked into the Major County Jail. He will be transferred to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections to serve his sentence.
