Hartshorne man injured in wreck near Wilburton Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a Hartshorne man was injured in a one vehicle accident that occurred on January 27, 2020 at 1:40pm on State Highway 2, just 2.7 miles South of State Highway 1 near Wilburton, in Latimer County.

According to the report, a 2007 Chevrolet Pickup, driven by James Phillips, 92, from Hartshorne was traveling Northbound on Highway 2 when he failed to negotiate a curve, left roadway to the left and struck a guardrail, going down an embankment, striking a tree.

Phillips was transported by Pafford EMS to McAlester Regional Hospital with multiple injuries.

The accident was investigated by OHP
