According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a fatality incident occurred on April 16, 2020 at approximately 10:59 am on Richard Summerfield Rd approximately 0.1 miles west of Deadend Ln, 3 miles southwest of Heavener, OK in LeFlore County.
According to the report, Jace Hamner 19, from Heavener, was operating a Ingersoll Rand pavement roller when he got out of construction equipment, while it was still running, to put diesel on front tires to remove asphalt from them. Hamner tripped or stumbled, and was ran over by construction equipment.
Hamner was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries.
The incident was investigated by OHP, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, LeFlore County EMS, Hodgen Fire Department and Heavener Fire Department .
