Adeline Paige Welch was born in College Station, TX on December 14, 2017 with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (severe brain damage due to lack of oxygen) and having seizures.

She was hooked up to a ventilator and eeg to monitor her brain.

Things were touch and go for a while and a fundraiser was started at Sweet Baby Adeline's Fundraiser! https://www.youcaring.com/adelinepaigewelch-1053011 via @youcaring

Her youngest Aunt, Breanna Welch, only 10 years old, has started a fundraiser in Poteau, OK.

Breanna is so full of love and concern for her niece, she even wants to sell pecans from her father’s pecan tree to raise money for her baby niece.

Here is story

Adeline Paige Welch, was born December 14th, 2017 at 7:05 P.M. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 1/2 ounces, and was 21 1/2 inches long. On the day of her arrival, Sweet Baby Adeline stole everyone's heart! Shortly after birth, Sweet Baby Adeline went directly to the NICU in College Station and had to be put on the ventilator for breathing support.

On December 16th, Sweet Baby Adeline was emergently transferred to the NICU at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. On arrival to Dell Children's Hospital, Adeline was tested to determine the cause of her apnea and seizures, including EEG, spinal tap, and MRI.

Sweet Baby Adeline has been diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy(HIE-lack of oxygen) and seizures.

She had to have breathing support via the ventilator, IV support through her umbilical cord, and nutritional support via a tube to her stomach through her mouth. Sweet Baby Adeline shows some improvements daily, but remains in the NICU at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. Sweet Baby Adeline's devoted parents have stayed by her side throughout this life altering event.

All monetary donations received will be used to cover current and future medical expenses, food, clothing, housing, and lost wages.

All donations other than money, such as clothing and food, are more than welcome. Please keep Sweet Baby Adeline and her loving parents (Mom-Maranda Nichols and Dad-Bradley Welch), in your kindest of thoughts and prayers.
