INMATE WALKS AWAY FROM MACK ALFORD CORRECTIONAL CENTER MINIMUM-SECURITY UNIT Featured

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Department of Corrections and Stringtown-area law enforcement are looking for an inmate who walked away early Wednesday morning from Mack Alford Correctional Center’s minimum-security unit.


The inmate, Johnny Simmons, 34, was last seen running away from the facility around 1:30 a.m.


Simmons is described as white, 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.


He was discovered missing during a 2 a.m. count at the 933-inmate capacity medium and minimum prison.


When he walked away, Simmons was serving time on sentences for second-degree burglary, failure to register as a sex offender, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and pointing a firearm.


Simmons should be considered armed and dangerous.
