OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension and Investigations agent arrested a Jess Dunn Correctional Center walkaway on Thursday, July 5, 2018, less than 12 hours after he left the facility’s grounds earlier.
Markus Perry walked away from the men’s minimum-security prison in Taft around 8 a.m. He was found in a wooded area just northwest of the facility, near North 134th Street.
Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and members of the Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police assisted in the search.
The 32-year-old was serving a two-year sentence for sexual abuse of a child under 12.
It’s not clear why Perry walked away.
He was being held at the facility Thursday night.
