A public forum to update local residents on the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s current 8-year plan will be held next week, with Senator Mark Allen, R-Spiro and Representative Lundy Kiger, R-Poteau, joining the meeting.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, December 18 at 3pm at the Reynolds Center in Poteau.

ODOT Division 2 Engineer, Anthony Echelle, is expected to present updated information, including new additions to the highway improvement plan and provide more information on projects like Highway 9-59 near Sunset Corner.

“This is a great opportunity for local residents to hear directly from ODOT regarding progress on the 8-year plan,” said Allen. “The people of LeFlore County are welcome to attend and are encouraged to learn and ask questions.”

“I believe this will be a very beneficial meeting for the people of LeFlore County to have the current facts on the 8-year plan for our county,” said Kiger. “I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there.”

For more information about the event, please contact Sen. Mark Allen at (405) 521-5576 or allen@oksenate.gov

or Rep. Lundy Kiger at (405) 557-7413 or lundy.kiger@okhouse.gov
