Job Posting

Oklahoma Humanities is seeking a Program Officer to lead one of America’s most successful reading and discussion programs—Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma.

This program serves as a catalyst for meaningful conversations and encourages readers to reflect on their experiences, share thoughts and ideas, consider diverse perspectives, and gain new insight.

For 35 years, Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma (LTAIO) has brought literature-based reading and discussion programs to thousands of Oklahomans through their local public libraries. Programs are also held at correctional centers and with other non-profit groups. LTAIO brings an average of 250 programs each year to communities throughout our state.

The full-time (35 hours per week) salaried position trains and works directly with LTAIO host sites to ensure successful program implementation, oversees the purchase and distribution of books, recruits new host sites and discussion facilitators, oversees the development of program content, and creates and manages contracts via database and grant management software. The Program Officer supervises one part-time contractor who manages the inventory and shipping of program books.
