An investigation launched earlier this month by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics’ Human Trafficking Unit and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) has identified Porter Meadows –AKA “VP” as a human trafficker involved in the operation of a commercial sex ring. The investigation determined Meadows has been facilitating this activity while behind bars, incarcerated in a DOC facility in Vinita, Oklahoma for narcotics, weapons, and stolen property charges.
“There are a variety of methods used by inmates to communicate with associates on the outside, allowing them to seamlessly continue to run their criminal operations while behind bars. Associates outside the prison who may have helped Meadows facilitate the trafficking of victims are subjects of our ongoing investigation. These associates would help with ads posted on commercial sex web sites and arrange locations where the sex trafficking took place.” —OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward
This ongoing investigation has identified multiple victims being trafficked by Meadows. On July 23, 2024, OBN Agents went to the prison and served Meadows with a Warrant on charges of Human Trafficking and Use of a Computer to Violate State Statute.
“This is an example of DOC and OBN working together to make a difference for victims who are gaining courage to speak out against their assailants when they realize they are not alone.” —OBN Director Anderson.
