According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol one man died due to a drowning incident that occurred on September 2, 2019 at approximately 4:45pm at Beaver’s Bend in McCurtain County.
According to the report, Chennareddy Kedarnadn 21, of India was swimming when he started to struggle to stay above the water, he then went under and never resurfaced.
His body was recovered by a drag bar in 11 feet of water, approximately 80 feet from the shoreline.
Kedarnadn’s body was transported by Bunch- Singleton Funeral Home of Broken Bow.
The drowning was Investigated by OHP, the OHP’s Marine Enforcement, Oklahoma State Park rangers, Broken Bow Fire Department, Hochatown Fire Department, and Garvin Fire Department.
