According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol an injury collision occurred on July 14, 2019 at approximately 5:17pm s on Interstate 40 near the 94-mile marker westbound, approximately six miles east of Hydro, OK, in Caddo County.


According to the report, a 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer driven by Rodrigo Miramontes-Jaquez 36, of Oklahoma City and his passenger, Genesis Alvarado-Delgado 20, of Oklahoma City, OK were westbound on Interstate 40 when they had a blowout on the driver’s side rear tire causing the vehicle to depart the roadway to the right.

The vehicle then went a broadside before tripping and overturning an undetermined amount of times before coming to rest upright. The driver was ejected out of the driver’s window during the roll.


Rodrigo Miramontes-Jaquez was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal, trunk external, head, arm and leg injuries.


Genesis Alvarado-Delgado was transported by Weatherford EMS to Weatherford Regional Hospital.

She was medically cleared of having any injuries.


The accident was investigated by OHP. Others agencies who assisted were: Caddo County Sheriff’s Department, Weatherford EMS, Hydro Fire Department and Air Evac.
