Oklahoma FFA brings home honors from national convention

Oklahoma FFA returned from the 97th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis with eight national champions, one national runner-up, 18 other placements, 21 gold emblem individual awards and a national officer nominating committee member.

The National FFA Convention celebrates FFA members from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The convention includes individual award and degree recognition, chapter award recognition, official delegate business and national officer elections.

“As Oklahoma FFA members return from the 97th National FFA Convention, we are incredibly proud of their dedication and success on the national stage,” said Trevor Lucas, state FFA executive secretary. “Their accomplishments highlight the exceptional teaching and learning happening in agricultural education classrooms across the state, where students are building skills, knowledge and leadership that will benefit their futures and our communities.”
