According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an injury collision occurred on August 29, 2019 at approximately 1:38pm on United State Highway 70, approximately 2 miles east of Hugo, in Choctaw County.
According to the report, 2007 Mercury Car, driven by Sharlene Battiest, age 47 of Idabel, was traveling east bound on us 70 when it departed the road to the right, and struck a utility power pole. According to the report, Battiest suffered from medical emergency due to low blood sugar.
Battiest was ransported by Choctaw County EMS to Paris Regional Hospital in Paris, Texas and was admitted in stable condition with injuries to head, arms, legs and trunk-internal injuries.
