One injured in two-vehicle accident on I40 near Roland Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle accident occurred on December 11, 2108 7:35pm on I40 westbound, approximately 3 miles east of Roland in Sequoyah County.


According to the report, a 2005 Lexus driven by Dee Kinchen 54, of North Little Rock was traveling westbound on I40 and attempted to pass a 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Justin Dix, 33, of McCrory, AR, and for unknown reason entered the slow lane striking the Dodge in the rear end.


Kinchen then departed roadway to the left, went through a ditch and hit a tree.


She was Lifeflighted to St. Francis Tulsa and was admitted in stable condition with head and arm injuries.


Dix was not injured.
