One killed in ATV accident in Pushmataha County Featured

At approximately 9:06 am on July 4, 2017 the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of a fatality ATV collision that occurred on a county road, 7 miles north and 1.5 miles west of Antlers in Pushmataha County.

The accident occurred when a 2013 Polaris Ranger driven by an 11-year boy from Antlers, was northbound on a county road when the ATV departed roadway to the left and then the driver overcorrected to the right and turned over on driver side.

The driver was pinned and freed by bystanders at the scene.

The boy was transported by Antlers EMS to Pushmataha Hospital where he later died.

A 12-year-old passenger from Fort Towson was not injured.


The accident was investigated by the OHP, Pushmataha County SO, Moyers Fire Department and Antlers EMS.
