According to a press release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, on March 22, 2019 at approximately 4 p.m., the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office received information about a shooting that occurred outside of Sallisaw.
Sheriff Larry Lane requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation with assistance with the crime scene and the investigation into the incident.
As a result of the shooting, one male is deceased and a female has been detained.
The investigation is currently open and ongoing.
