OSBI Investigates Officer-Involved Shooting in Stilwell Featured

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, at approximately 5 am on September 29, 2017 a suspect was involved in a drive-by shooting in Stilwell.


Officers spotted the vehicle described to be involved.


Officers attempted to pulled over the vehicle, but the driver refused, leading officers on a pursuit.


The vehicle crashed in the area of 814 E. Road and 4680 N. Road in Stilwell.


The suspect got out of the vehicle and began running from police.


Officers gave chase. During that chase, the suspect fired a weapon at officers. At least one officer returned fire. This happened several times.


The officer believes he hit the suspect, but he continued to flee and has not yet been found.

The suspect has been identified as 46, year old TJ Cain.

 


OSBI agents at the scene have a warrant for his arrest for assault w/ a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon.


Officials continue searching for him.

 

If anyone spots Cain, call 911 immediately.


No officers were injured.


The Stilwell Police Department requested OSBI special agents to investigate the shooting. Several agents are on scene.
