According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Fatality collision occurred on Jan 30, 2019 at approximately 7:52 pm on United State Highway 59, half a mile north of Power House Rd and approximately 2.5 miles north and 1 mile east of Cowlington, in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 2016 Freightliner Semi Truck, driven by Jarrod Lee 50, from Sallisaw was northbound on US59 when a pedestrian jumped in front of him.
The pedestrian, (name withheld pending investigation) died at the scene from massive injuries.
