According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatal accident occurred April 15, 2019, at approximately 11:46am on the Railroad tracks approximately four tenths of a mile south of Shady Grove Road in Pittsburg County.
Colby Crawley, 26, from McAlester was running eastbound and ran into the path of a Union Pacific Train that was traveling northbound.
Crawley was pronounced dead at the scene by Pafford EMS.
The driver of the train, Christopher Wigren, 40 and his passenger Garry Collier, 51, both from Coffeyville, Kansas were not injured.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation
