According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a injury water incident occurred August 27, 2023 at approximately 3pm on Lake Eufaula in the #9 Marina area, approximately 3 miles east of Eufaula, OK in Pittsburg County.
According to the report, a 2016 Yamaha jet ski, driven by Roger Roach, 63 of Porum, was northbound on the water, when the Jet ski went into shallow water causing the vessel to run aground and eject the operator over the handlebars.
Roach was transported by Pafford EMS in stable condition with head and neck injuries to McAlester Regional Hospital.
The accident was investigated by Maine Enforcement Division of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, #9 Fire Department, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife, and Pafford EMS
