According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Red Oak man was injured in a one vehicle accident that occurred on September 8, 2018 at 8:36pm on Cravens Road in Latimer County.

According to the report, a 1999 Dodge truck, driven by Gary Irvin, 70, from Red Oak was eastbound on the county road Cravens road when he departed the road to the left striking a tree and coming to rest.

Irvin was transported by Pafford EMS to Latimer County Hospital in Wilburton then to St. Francis in Tulsa by Pafford.

He was listed in stable condition with head injury.

According to the report:
Condition of Driver – 03 Drinking- Ability Impaired
Cause of Collision – 80 Alcohol-DUI/DWI
Seat belts – Equipped not in use
Airbags – equipped not deployed
Weather – clear

The accident was investigated by OHP
