According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a one vehicle accident with 6 people were injured in an accident that occurred on Jan 13, 2019 at approximately 9:04am on State Highway 144, approximately one and one tenth miles west of Cline road in LeFlore County.

 

According to the report, a 1997 Ford truck, driven by Jerry Ward 43, from Talihina and his passenger, were traveling eastbound on SH144 when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right. Ward overcorrected and departed the roadway to the left overturning approximately four times ejecting one passenger approximately 15 feet from point of rest.

Jerry Ward was transported by Air Evac to Parris Regional Hospital in Paris Texas, listed in critical but stable condition with neck and back injuries.

 

Shonia Ward, 31, from Talihina was transported by Tulsa life flight to Paris Regional Hospital in Paris Texas and was listed in stable condition with back injury.

 

Passenger Keifer Ward, 18, from Talihina was transported by personal owned vehicle to Choctaw Health Care Center with an arm injury.

 

A 3-year-old, 4-year-old from Talihina were transported by personal owned vehicle to Choctaw Health Care Center.

 

A 10-year-old girl was Passenger from Talihina was transported by LeFore County EMS to Mena Regional Hospital in Mena AR and was admitted in stable condition with a leg injury.
