OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 13, 2026) – The State of Oklahoma has been named the 2026 Geotab Maintenance Champion, an award recognizing a fleet organization that has transformed its operations through innovative maintenance practices and effective use of technology and data insights to save costs, reduce downtime and deliver premier customer service.
The Maintenance Champion distinction is part of the Geotab Innovation Awards, which celebrate outstanding fleet teams and individuals who harness connected vehicle data to solve complex challenges, boost efficiency and strengthen operational resilience.
The state’s Fleet Management team, part of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), earned the distinction for its work transforming Oklahoma’s fleet operations from a manual approach to a fully data-driven model using Geotab telematics.
By leveraging real-time vehicle data and maintenance analytics, OMES Fleet Management has modernized how the state plans, tracks and services its vehicles – delivering substantial cost savings, improving uptime and responsiveness for customer agencies, and setting a new standard for fleet performance across state government.
“Oklahoma’s fleet has come a long way in a short time, and this award reflects the daily work our team puts into using real-time data to solve problems and serve our partner agencies better,” said OMES Fleet Director Nathan Pumphrey. “Telematics gives us visibility we simply didn’t have before – we can anticipate maintenance needs, reduce downtime and make smarter decisions about replacements. Ultimately, that means more reliable vehicles and better service for our customers.”
The Geotab Innovation Awards, presented by Geotab Founder and CEO Neil Cawse, highlight fleets that use connected vehicle data to drive measurable improvements in performance, cost and efficiency. Award recipients are selected by a panel of Geotab industry experts based on criteria including measurable impacts, operational improvements, return on investment and overall leadership compared to similar fleets.
“This year’s Geotab Innovation Award winners demonstrate that when you empower people with the right technology, the returns are significant,” said Cawse. “We celebrate their achievements and recognize the contributions being made to set the bar for the industry.”
The awards were presented at Geotab Connect 2026 in Las Vegas, a premier fleet industry event focused on connected vehicles, data intelligence, AI and sustainability. For more information, visit geotab.com/news-and-views.
