Tax Free Weekend is almost here. Shoppers can take advantage of this weekend’s Tax Free Holiday, August 2-4, in Oklahoma, where only clothing priced up to $100 is tax exempt.
In Arkansas, clothing and footwear less than $100, and school supplies are tax exempt. Arkansas’ Tax Free Holiday is August 3-4. The State of Arkansas will also allow shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain Electronic Devices, School Art Supplies, School Instructional Materials, and Clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.
In Missouri, no taxes will be charged for clothing – any article having a taxable value of $100 or less, school supplies – not to exceed $50 per purchase, computer software – taxable value of $350 or less, personal computers – not to exceed $1,500, computer peripheral devices – not to exceed $1,500, and graphing calculators – not to exceed $150
“Clothing” means all human wearing apparel suitable for general use. A nonexclusive list of clothing that is exempt from sales and use taxes follows:
