According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a two-vehicle accident involving a semitruck occurred early Sunday morning on State Highway 2 in Latimer County.

According to the report, on August 11, 2019, at approximately 5:07am, a 2009 Kenwood tractor trailer was turning south onto State Highway 2 and Hulsey Prairie Road, (about 3.5 miles south of Wilburton in Latimer County,) and became disabled in the roadway when a 2008 Ford SUV, driven by 17 -year-old male from Wilburton was traveling northbound and struck the trailer of the semi.

The teen was transported by Pafford EMS to McAlester Regional Medical Center and was treated and released with head injuries.

His passenger, Randi Scott, 18, from Wilburton, was pinned in the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes before being transported by McAlester Air Care to St Francis Hospital Tulsa where she was listed in Critical Condition with head injuries.

Another passenger, Gunner Henry, 18, from Wilburton refused medical treatment at the scene.
