Texas man injured in accident near Stringtown in Atoka County Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a one vehicle accident occurred on August 8, 2019 at 3:15pm on Staples Rd, approximately 10 miles north and 6 miles east of Stringtown, in Atoka County.

 

 

According to the report, Todd Futrell, 57 of Forth Worth, Texas, driving a 2006 Honda Rancher and his passenger Mark Allen, 58 of Denison Texas were north bound on private property and struck a rock and overturned.

 

 

Todd Futrell who refused treatment at the scene was pinned in the vehicle for approximately two hours and was extricated by Stringtown Fire Department.

 


Allen, was also pinned in the vehicle for approximately two hours and was transported by McAlester Air Care to Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX and was admitted in good condition for trunk internal injuries.

 


The accident was investigated by OHP, assisted by Atoka County Sheriff’s Office, Atoka County EMS, Stringtown Fire Department, Atoka Fire Department, Caney Fire Department, Kiowa Fire Department, Blanco Fire Department, Atoka County Emergency Management, Pittsburg County Emergency Management, and McAlester Air Care.
