At approximately 11:42 am on March 9, 2017, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of an accident that occurred five miles north of McAlester on United State Highway 69 in Pittsburg County.
According to the report, a 2002 Chevrolet was parked unoccupied on the northbound shoulder of US69 and a 2005 Ford, driven by Christiane Slay 41, of Fort Hood, Texas was traveling northbound on US69. For some unknown reason Slay ran off the right side of the roadway and struck the parked vehicle.
Slay was transported by Pafford EMS to McAlester Regional Health Center where she was listed in stable condition with head Injuries.
Two passengers with Slay were transported by Pafford EMS to McAlester Regional Health Center where they were treated and released.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Garrett Gray of the Pittsburg County detachment and Trooper Tyler James.
