Three injured in UTV accident in Latimer County Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, several kids were injured in an UTV accident that occurred at approximately 3:48 pm on May 30, 2018 on a county road approximately 9 miles west and 2 miles south of Wilburton, Ok in Latimer County.

 

According to the OHP, a 2017 Polaris Ranger UTV driven by a 13 girl of Gowen and her passengers a 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were traveling southbound on a county road and attempted to pass another UTV and lost control. The UTV then rolled ¾ times and landed on the passenger side.


All passengers were ejected from the UTV.

 

The driver was transported by Para Med to McAlester Regional Hospital and was treated and released.


The 14-year-old male passenger was transported by Tulsa Life Flight to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was admitted in stable condition with head and arm injuries.

 

The 12-year-old girl passenger was also transported by Life Flight to St. Francis in Tulsa and was admitted for observation with head injuries.

 

The accident was investigated by OHP and the Latimer County Sheriff’s Office.
