Two injured in accident in Savanna Featured

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of an injury collision accident that occurred on November 24, 2017 on United State Highway 69 at Battles Road, approximately .7 of a mile south of Savanna, OK in Pittsburg County.


According to the report, a 2017 Hyundai SUV driven by Jennifer Thomas Schneider, 48 of Shawnee, Kansas was southbound on US69, ran off the roadway to the left striking the cable barrier.

The vehicle then crossed the roadway to the right and struck a tree. Schneider was pinned for 30 minutes before being freed by Savanna Fire Dept using the Hurst Tool.


She was transported by Pafford to McAlester Hospital and later transferred by Air Care to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She is listed in listed in stable condition with multiple injuries.

A 7-year-old male passenger was transported by Pafford EMS to McAlester Hospital and then transferred by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He is listed in stable condition.

The accident was Investigated by OHP, Pittsburg County Sheriff Office, Savanna Police Dept and Savanna Fire Dept.
