According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a water related incident occurred on April 27, 2019, at approximately 8:32am on Sardis Lake near Clayton, OK in Pushmataha County.
According to the report, a 2013 Express bass boat, operated by Grady L. Harrell, 53 of Chickasha, began to take on water due to a crack in the hull weld.
Harrell beached the boat and called for another boat to come tow him in. While in tow, the 2013 Express bass boat capsized and became stuck on a stump.
Harrell was able to swim safely to the other boat that was towing him.
The accident was investigated by the Marine Enforcement Division of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
