According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Wister man was killed in automobile accident that occurred on June 30, 2019 at approximately 1:50 am on State Highway 82, 8 miles south of Red Oak in Latimer County.
According to the report, Thomas Price 59, of Wister was driving a 2009 Dodge Pickup, northbound on State Highway 82, departed the road to the right, striking a tree.
The vehicle then rolled ½ time onto its side. Price was pinned in the vehicle for 2 hours before being extracted by the Bengal Fire Department.
Price was pronounced dead at scene by Medical Examiner Christopher Cole and was transported by Burkhart Funeral Home in Talihina, OK.
The accident was investigated by OHP.
