Lotta great Live Music this weekend!

Ya don’t believe me? Well just read on! But first, I gotta give a shout out to all the hardworking folks that put the pieces together for the 2022 Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Festival! Some of the very best bonafide Delta blues musicians entertained the fans and local blues bands joined in, too! I heard MANY positive comments and very few rough spots to be ironed out for 2023! But thanks to all the hard work and worry, there WILL be a 2023 Riverfront Blues Festival!
Lots of Live music for this first weekend of Summer!
Starting with Dawn’s Diner in Red Oak. Thurs 23rd at 5:30 pm, bout suppertime, Randy Fennell and Larry Taylor will be back. Randy is one of the finest, most experienced lead pickers from these here parts and teamed up with Larry on bass, these guys play favorites, Rock or Country! Then Friday the 24th, Earl Hearon will sing songs of love, heartbreak and good times (That ain’t over for good)! So ya can chow down and listen to Hag to Paycheck to Willie! Starts at 6. On Sat. 25th, The Stagemasters, play for their supper. Great country music from Terry Barnes, Randy Smith, Gerry Baze, Larry Hight and David Hoffpauir! Music is free, food is worth the price! Check out Dawn’s Diner this weekend!
“Even Keel” Will be playing at the 906 Cigar Lounge on Garrison on Sat the 25th from 8-Midnite! Music has an Island feel, I mean, What would Jimmy Buffett do? And they have a special boat drink named after the band, the “Keelada”! It has a kick to it, kinda puts ya in a very relaxed “sand in yer toes “mood. Earlier in the day from Noon to 1:30, they will be doing the Lunch Bunch music in the Bakery District. Just around the corner from the 906!

David Carbrey does the singing in the latest version of “Butch Cavandish”! Sat. the 25th you can hear Country Rock, Red Dirt and Country Classic! This is a really good band with high energy sets, ya even the tearjerkers! They will be at JJ’s Grill in Fayetteville! Music starts at 7 pm!

In Hackett Ark, Crocky’s grill will feature Mike “MG and the Quiet Storm” Linzini at 6 pm on Friday the 24th! And on the 25th, The Marcia Brady Band at 6 pm! Good music, great food! And if ya like the food, ya can vote for them on FB for the Fort Smith Times Favorite New Restaurant!

“Oklahoma Moon” has a busy weekend. Friday the 24th, they will be at Neumeier’s Rib Room on Garrison Ave. Music starts at 6 pm. Then “The Showtime Jamboree” in Pocola brings another special guest singer, James Young on Sat 25th. James hails from Van Buren and covers a lotta ground from the Country Charts. This will be good enuf to write home about! Music starts at 7pm.
“Make it a Double” - Dave and Connie Abbott - play Classic Country for the dancers at the Ft. Smith Senior Activity Center’s regular Friday nite Shindig! It is Friday the 24th and starts at 6 pm.

I-40 Dance and Music Hall will have Line Dance lessons and Music by “The Lawman” on Thurs 23rd at 6 pm. Then “Classic Country” will play on Sat 25th at 7 pm. Big Dance Floor, NS/ND, Just a good time!
“Movin’ On”, the Jones Brothers and sidekick Lundy Taylor, will liven up the crowd at the “Farewell Party Bar” in Ft. Smith! Buck Owens to Lynard Skynard! Come by and have a cold one! This Friday the 24 and music starts at 8 pm.
That’s all, folks! Going in for a lil tuneup Monday Morning, so by the time this hits the streets, I should be movin’ and groovin’ like a teenager! Prayers appreciated!
