Douglas O. Gilbert of Talihina was injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday morning. According to the OHP report, Gilbert was driving a 2000 Nissan XTR on a county road north and east of Swink, Oklahoma, when he lost control and left the road before striking a tree. He was transported by Air-EVAC to Medical Center of Plano, Texas with internal trunk and head injuries. At the time of the report, he was listed in stable condition.
OHP was assisted by Swink Fire Department and Choctaw County EMS.
