This year’s event “Taste of LeFlore County” coincides with the 100 year Anniversary of the Lowery Hotel celebration. So, along with awesome dishes of food, the music provided for diners will enhance the “Roaring 20’s” or The Jazz Age theme of the event! Everyone’s invited to dress accordingly. Could be a gangster or a Flapper.
Providing the period appropriate background music will be . Al has“The Al Grzech Trio” a set list of Jazz tunes from those early days of Jazz that became Classics. Al will be joined by Dale Fraze Sr./drums and David Hoffpauir/guitar. These players have years of experience and are also involved in a series “History of Jazz” that will be at The Lowery building on the 25th at 6 pm. Open to the public.
The 100 year Celebration of the Lowery Hotel with varied and an interesting menu cooked by the best, partnered with some of the finest dinner music from the 1920’s. What a night! Tickets are still available at the door. Make it a date night with food and dancing.
The 1920s was the first decade to have a nickname: “Roaring 20s” or “Jazz Age.” It was a decade of prosperity and dissipation, and of jazz bands, bootleggers, raccoon coats, bathtub gin, flappers, flagpole sitters, bootleggers, and marathon dancers.
