According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a motorcycle accident occurred on July 21, 2018 at approximately 12:40 am on US Highway 259/State Highway 1, approximately 2.2 miles north and 4.4 miles east of Muse in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 2001 Suzuki Motorcycle, driven by Blane Brown 22, from Kirbyville, Texas, was traveling northbound on US Highway 259. Brown was traveling too fast to negotiate curve, departed roadway left, struck guardrail and laid over onto the right side.
Brown was thrown approximately 45 feet from motorcycle upon impact with guardrail.
Brown was transported by Tulsa Life Flight to St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs AR and was listed in critical but stable condition with multiple injuries.
The accident was investigated by OHP, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department and LeFlore County EMS.
