The LeFlore County Youth Services in Poteau held a fun(d) raising event on Feb 9, 2023 a the Donald W Reynold Center in Poteau.

Forty two entries of Pots of chili were available for tasting, making it a tough competition to pick a favorite.

Kudos to the judges for determining the winners.

 

The First Place winner was Thomas Rector – from Heart of Hospice

Second Place was Dennis Yochum- LeFlore County Emergency Management.

Best Table Decorations – Carl Albert State College

The Best Name of the Chili was called “Chili Nelson – from The Community State Bank

The Team Spirit Award went to the Poteau Police Department.

The People Choice Winner was Chris Adams – Poteau Police Department.

LCYS is building a new facility and the money collected from the Chili Cook off with go to help provide furnishing and other items.

The Mission of LeFlore County Youth Services, Inc. is to provide opportunities for healthy development to the youth and families of LeFlore and Haskell Counties.
