It was a great loss for Mac and the Moad family when they lost a son, a brother, a father- Stephen Moad recently. Stephen, Singer/Rhythm Guitar, was a member of “The MidWestern Playboys”, one of the hardest working bands in our area. The band is talented and well liked and as the musicians will do ‘round here, many bands and solos have offered their talents to help with a benefit for Stephen’s three kids. It will take place over 3 days this weekend, Friday 3rd, Sat. 4th and Sunday 5th at the Post 8845 VFW on 31st and Grand Ave. in Ft. Smith. All proceeds taken at the door and by donation will go into 3 CD’s to be held until the kids reach the age of 25. There will be a silent auction and any items donated will be greatly appreciated. It’s a great way to honor Stephen Moad and lift up this family financially for continued well being for the future. It’s a family friendly event so bring your kids. Just keep in mind there will be adult beverages. It will start at Noon and stop somewhere after 8 pm. That’s a whole lotta music!
When Mac started planning for this benefit and asking for help with the music, he was showered with responses. So much so that he had to make it a 3 day event to allow enough time for this awesome show of love from the working musicians and friends.
