The American Theatre Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma sponsored aposter design competition at Spiro High School in which the first place poster will be featured on the cover of the programs for the upcoming production of S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders in 2025.
Allen McCool, Chair of American Theatre Company, said, “All students did an amazing job. The selection process was really difficult…there are some very talented students at Spiro.” Spiro High School students read the novel in Mrs. Kasandra Lovell’s ninth grade English class each year. This story is near and dear to their hearts.
The third place winner is James Wortham, freshman.
Taking second place honors is Kiana Craig, sophomore.
First place goes to Aspen Sapp, a sophomore at Spiro High School.
All three posters will be displayed throughout the city and in advertising for The Outsiders play. Each winner will receive ATC prizes, and Apsen received $25. Thank you, American Theatre Company, for allowing students this fantastic opportunity.
