Poteau Oklahoma – According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a two vehicle injury accident occurred on August 7, 2023 at approximately 6:35 am on US-59 near Long Lake Resort Dr, approximately 2 miles south of Poteau, Oklahoma in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 1999 Ford F150, driven by Carlos Camargo 49, from Heavener was northbound on US-59, departed road for unknown reason and went left of center striking a 2001 Dodge Ram, driven by Bradley Thompson 40, from Poteau.
Camargo was transported by private vehicle to Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau where he was treated and released.
Thompson was transported by LeFlore County EMS to Baptist Health Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.
The accident was investigated by OHP, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department, Poteau Police Department and LeFlore County EMS.
