July 8, 2025 (POTEAU, Okla.) — In a move to significantly ramp up the auction side of its business, United Country Real Estate | Mixon Realty & Auctions has hired experienced auctioneer Heath Smith.
Following his graduation from Kansas City, Mo.-based Missouri Auction School, Smith and his wife Jayla started Smith Auction Services, LLC in Wister, Okla. The company is an on-site auction service for real estate and personal property via estate sales, business liquidations, consignment, legal matters, charity events and more.

Mixon said her brokerage had plans three years ago to hire someone like Smith to provide emphasis, productivity and leadership on the auction side of the company … but best made plans can often change. After tabling those plans for a while, Mixon is ready to get rolling.
“We’re very excited to start working with Heath,” Mixon said. “His extensive experience includes auctions of land, farm assets, heavy equipment and the like, which is in line with our brokerage’s expertise selling farms, ranches, country homes and all kinds of land — from residential to recreational, commercial and beyond.”
